There is a wide-spread misconception that the Indian National Anthem is in praise of the then king of England. A few years back, I came across an excellent presentation that reveals the true person whom the great song praises. Here is a link to it.

nice interpretation…may have been one of tagore’s ideas…but, given that he was a brahmo, the idol of krishna may not have been the only of his inspiration…perhaps, it is more of the Supreme Being (Brahma), of whom Krishna is a form…
the last slide is funny.
as far as is known, it is the pseudohindus of the hindutva brigade who always had a problem with the JGM….u can be sure they never read the whole poem….but, then terrorists are never known to be that educated
